Infomercials

I love them. I would watch them all day every day if I could. I think my cable provider should have an "infomercial channel". I'd subscribe!
Maybe I'll write them a letter shoot them an email.
I think I've professed my love of infomercials all over the internet.
I like the infomercials that are full 30-minute programs, I like the short commercial ad ones. I like them all. But I especially like the food item/kitchen gadget ones.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen the Magic Bullet tv ad. Seriously...next time I happen to catch it on late night tv I'm hitting the record button on my DVR and recording that bad boy.
I know most of the products are crap. But I must admit that I own a few items...
I use my Ronco knives practically every day. And though there are some knives in the set that I've never used it's nice to know I have a boning (heh...that sounds kinda dirty) knife should I need one.
I used to use my Ronco Food Dehydrator to make beef jerky all the time. It's been a while since I've used it, but I do love it. Dried fruit, jerky...good stuff.
My mother-in-law bought me a One Touch Can Opener a couple years ago. I loved this thing! Sadly, it died like last month and went to One Touch Can Opener heaven. I need to buy another one.
I seen the Ped-Egg at Walgreen's. My BFF told me she loved hers. And while it does work how it says it works...it works just as good as any other foot file I've had...but it keeps the mess contained. So, yeah.
I'm even a fan of the hosts of these infomercials.
Billy Mays. Loud, annoying...raises his voice about 17 octaves to advertise whatever piece of crap he's trying to sell. He bugs the shit out of me...and yet I'm intrigued by him every time he pops up on my tv. He's tried to sell me OxiClean, Hercules Hooks, Mighty Mendit, Mighty Putty and Kaboom products. I tried Kaboom...I wasn't impressed. Good thing I only paid "shipping and handling" to receive my "free" product. They still send me emails...they must think I've given up on cleaning my toilet (ew!) all together since I haven't purchased any new Kaboom.
Watch it!
OMG....loooove it! It's even better on TV...I don't know why, but it is.
Buxton bags, Grip-N-Flips, Total Gym, Bedazzlers, Showtime Rotisserie (just set it and forget it!)
I could go on and on about infomercials but I don't want to bore you to death (if I haven't already). So, I'll leave you with just one more bit of infomercial fun...
Check out Infomercial Ratings.com. You can look up any infomercial/as seen on tv ad and read reviews. Funny stuff!

That's so funny - my son is a fan of the chopper thing - it plays at our grocery store and he always wants to stop and stare at the tv when it plays the info-mercial.
Thanks for visiting my blog the other day. Glad you enjoyed "the shot" - as humiliating as it is. :)
