American Idol - Spoilers! 5/5 & 5/6

I'm a little late in posting my weekly American Idol post. I've been very busy and totally spaced it.

I'm going to start off talking about the performances.

Allison...I thought she did really good and didn't deserve the flack she got from the judges.

Kris...He does better every week. I started out not liking him so much, well other than his cute-ness factor. But he's steadily improved in the last few weeks.

Adam...His awesomeness is...well awesome. But you know what? I was thinking about this and when he has those high pitched runs it totally reminds me of Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. He should have sang this song for rock week. He would have rocked it BIG TIME.

Danny...um yeah. Speechless. And not in a good way. But at least he was very light hearted about it and poked fun at himself the second night. He's still one of my favorites...but Danny, if you're out there reading this (cuz I'm sure you are)...don't EVER do that again.

I wasn't surprised to see Allison go home. I was fairly certain that it would be her and Kris in the bottom two. So imagine my surprise when Kris was the first one sent back to safety. My jaw dropped to the floor...so.not.expecting.that.

I still think the finals are going to come down to Danny and Adam. But that's just what I think. I'm not feeling so sure about anything anymore. LOL

Oh wait, yes I am...

I am certain about one thing. Paula needs to stay sitting down in the judging area and not parading around on the Idol stage. Yes, she can sing...yes, she can dance. But she cannot LIP SYNC to save her life. And it was blatantly obvious that she was lip syncing.

I'm excited for next week's show. I love when the final three get to visit their hometown's. Last year we had David Archuletta come back to Salt Lake City and from what I hear (I stayed far, far away from that madness) it was...well, madness. But it was neat to have one of our own make it so far.
