Dr. Hippo Book Series Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

My kids and I recently had the opportunity to review the entire series of Dr. Hippo books by Charlotte Cowan, M.D. Dr. Cowan is a pediatrician and is currently on staff at Boston's MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
This great set of books talks about common illnesses in "kid language". The stories are easy for kids to read and understand and let's them know it's normal that some of these illnesses happen and that going to the doctor is good for them.
There are five books in the series:
The Little Elephant with the Big Earache is a story of an elephant who wakes up in the middle of the night with an earache.
Katie Caught a Cold is about a polar bear who catches a cold and is 'sneezing like a snowstorm'.
Sadie's Sore Throat is the story of a giraffe who finds out she has strep throat.
Peeper Has a Fever is about a frog who develops a fever of 104°.
The Moose with Loose Poops is the story of a moose who is sick with gastroenteritis.
In each story the parents called or visited Dr. Hippocrates for advice and soon their children were on the mend after medicines (when needed), rest and TLC. (and some popsicles, too)
The books also focus on helping to prevent spreading of illness by frequent hand-washing and coughing/sneezing into your sleeve.
Both my kids and I enjoyed reading this series of books. Each book has a hard cover with a glossy jacket. Brightly illustrated pictures adorn each page and covers of these books. There is also a laminated Parent's Guide in a pocket in the back of each book.

I have 14 nieces and nephews. A good portion of them are below the age of 6 and I think that I would divide these books evenly amongst them so they could share in the gift of reading.

My 3 children would really benefit from these -- starting with my soon to be 4 year old who is obsessed with germs right now, my 2 year old who is in need of some explaining why I make him wash his hands after touching unmentionables ;), and my baby -- as she grows older, she'll learn to identify her aches to tell me instead of just crying!
