Don't Bite Me Patch Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. A WINNER WILL BE DRAWN SOON. THANKS!

I hate those bug repellent sprays that you have to spray onto your skin and clothing. They stink! And I'm always a little weary of using them on my kids.

I was recently asked to review the Don't Bite Me! Patch.

How It Works
The Don't Bite Me! Patch uses a patent pending technology and formula to deliver natural ingredients into the body via a topical patch application. Only two ingredients are in the patch, Vitamin B1 and Aloe. Simply apply one patch two hours prior to enjoying time outdoors(it takes that long to become effective). The Vitamin B1 then travels head to toe. Then the body's natural response to excess Vitamin B1 is to excrete it through the pores, covering up the carbon dioxide that we emit naturally. (Carbon dioxide is what attracts insects.) This process makes an invisible barrier around the body, making the user unattractive to insects. The Aloe serves as an anti-inflammatory agent, minimizing the reaction in the event you do experience a bite. The topical patch application is what makes the formula so effective. Taking Vitamin B1 in mega doses does not deliver the same effect as our patch because the stomach digests the Vitamin B1 prior to it entering the bloodstream, therefore losing efficiency. The topical patch provides a much more effective, consistent release of Vitamin B1 into the body, which is why it works so well.

I admit. I was a little skeptical that a "bug repellent band-aid" would really offer me protection from mosquitoes. My backyard seems to have tons of mosquitoes and it has rained every freaking day for like ten days now. Just enough to make things damp and bring out the bugs.

I took Ethan outside yesterday and I put a patch on his leg, under his shorts...he kept pulling at it. He hates to wear band-aids so he didn't want to wear it, but he eventually just left it alone. I placed one on my arm.

The patches had a little bit of a smell to them but nothing over powering. And they're so easy to use. As easy as applying a band aid. They're small enough that you can keep them in your purse or diaper bag. They're clear, so they're hardly noticeable when wearing one. No chemicals, no stinky sprays...and they're waterproof which is a bonus since being in or around water attracts mosquitoes.

I have one package of Don't Bite Me! Patches to giveaway to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.

To enter this giveaway:
Visit the Don't Bite Me! Patch website and tell me which two ingredients are in the patches
(this is an easy one folks...like REALLY easy)

Vitamin B1 and Aloe are the ingredients in the Don't Bite Me! Patch. Mosquitoes come from miles around to bite my husband -- he'd love to try this patch!

Vitamin B1 and Aloe! I've been wanting to try this product - we have TONS of mosquitos at our home and it sometimes prevents us from enjoying our lovely backyard. But I hate the normal bug sprays! Thanks for the great giveaway :)
