The Meaning Of Home

I've lived in many houses in my lifetime. Apartments, duplexes, townhomes, basements...I've lived there. I've called them home.

This is my house. My home. Where I live, where I reside, where I sleep at night...where I hang my hat.



But there is so much more that makes it my home. The actual house is relatively unimportant. I could live without it. I don't want to, but I could.

What makes up my home are these three little people right here.



And my partner in crime.


And even these fuzzy little mongrels.


Without them my house and my heart would be empty.

They are my home. I can take them with me wherever I go. We make our memories, our mental scrapbooks and that is what is important to me. I could walk away from the house and leave the contents behind as long as I had my children, my husband and my cat by my side. Ok, fine...the dog too.

The rest can be replaced.
