Salt water taffy is one of Utah's favorite treats. It's certainly one of my favorite types of candy and has been since I was a kid. Who doesn't love the smooth, chewy goodness...and the flavors? So many to choose from.

TaffyTree.com in an online retailer for a local Utah business called Taffy Town. All of the taffy's are gluten free, nut free (tree nut's too!) and certified Kosher dairy. In fact, the entire facility is gluten and nut free.

I just happen to drive right past Taffy Town every day on my way to and from work so I snapped a quick photo with my cell phone while I was stopped in front of the store...waiting for the light to change...waiting to get on the freeway...in the middle of rush hour traffic. Ooops...sorry. Had a mini-rant there.

It also includes a Taffy Flavor Card so you know which flavor is which. My kids had more fun just eating them and trying to guess which flavor it was.



I was sent the Taffy Tree Sampler and we tore into it right away. I told my kids they couldn't have any but they don't listen to me. All of the taffies were sweet, smooth and chewy. We had a lot of fun testing out all the different flavors most of which we loved. I'll be honest, I did not like the maple flavored taffy...but I don't like maple syrup...reminds me of pancakes and um yeah.

Along with the sampler we received a "Night At The Movies" 1/4 pound bag with movie theater themed flavored taffies inside...buttered popcorn, caramel corn, red licorice, black licorice.

My kid's initial reaction to popcorn flavored taffy "ewwwwwww!" but then they insisted on trying it even though they were completely grossed out at the thought of it. And they liked it...loved it. Couldn't get enough of it. It was different, kind of reminded me more of a kettle corn flavor. But it was still yummy.

My favorite flavors were neopolitan (a classic!), chocolate mint, tropical punch and raspberry lemonade.
