Vroom Solo Review

I hate vacuuming. You all know how much I hate laundry...well vacuuming is a close second.
I live in a tri-level home...two sets of stairs. Making vacuuming that much more enjoyable. But it is one of those chores that has to be done on a regular basis, especially with three kids, a dog, a cat and a husband in the house. (I never make any kind of mess.)
What really bothers me is having to haul the vacuum out for small messes. My son, Ethan thinks it's funny to smash crackers, cookies, chips...whatever he's snacking on, into the carpet or on the kitchen linoleum. Dragging the broom out just pushes the mess around and bringing the vacuum up from the bottom level of the house (my kitchen is on the middle/main level) is just a ginormous pain in the...well, yeah you know.
I was pretty excited when I was accepted to review a Vroom Solo. The Vroom Solo is a stand alone vacuum unit that installs under most standard kitchen and bathroom cabinets. It turns on automatically and has a 24 foot hose...so even though the unit stays put, you can really get around with it.
I've used the Vroom Solo quite a bit since my husband installed it for me on Saturday morning. I ran it along the baseboards in the kitchen, cleaned in the super small space between my cabinets and refrigerator...a place where only dust bunnies can get to. All along the front of my stove and refrigerator and all the stray dog food on the floor in the pantry. It really is great for those little clean ups.
For someone who hates to vacuum I really do like my Vroom Solo and I'd like to have on each level of my home. It would come in handy in my laundry room to keep the dryer lint traps cleaned and around the cat litter box where there always seems to be stray litter. In my upstairs bathroom, as that is where hair cuts for my boys and my dog take place.
I was going to take pictures of the Vroom Solo installed in my cabinet tonight. I had this blog post all written up and just needed to add some photos. And um...disaster struck? Haha that sounds kind of dramatic.
Our kitchen sink decided to not drain anymore. Hubby is under the house cutting out chunks of the plumbing to be replaced. My whole house stinks like whatever has been dying in the pipes for who knows how long. And unfortunately the Vroom has already been uninstalled because he needed access to the drain pipes under the kitchen cabinet where it was and we also didn't want it (or anything in there) to get ruined.
Grrrrr....I'll have to do an update once things are back in working order around here.
However...you can watch the video demo and enter to win your own Vroom by visiting http://www.vroomyourroom.com/.

It's so funny how we all hate different chores. I could vacuum all day long and not care. But I REFUSE to clean bathrooms. And we too have a dog, and he sheds, so I'm forever vacuuming.
