Barefoot Wine Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

Barefoot Wine started out as a "garage wine" back in the 1960's. It wasn't until the mid-80's that the brand was relaunched as an affordable and delicious wine.

I recently had the opportunity to try some Barefoot Wine and Bubbly. I was sent a bottle of their Pinot Grigio to review. We served it up on the 4th of July. Now, we had already had some beers, had already ate dinner and dessert when we decided to try the wine. Three of us tried it and our first reaction was that it was dry and very tart. But we all agreed that it would probably be better paired with food or a dessert of some type. It had fruity, floral smell to it.

I tried it again tonight (finished the bottle!) and it was much better tonight than it was the first time I drank it. Now, I'll admit that I'm a fan of red wines over white any day...but I do like whites as well. I honestly think because I hadn't been drinking beer and paired it with a meal (chicken) that it made the wine a lot better.

I was also sent a bottle of the Brut Cuvee Champagne. I have not had a chance to try it yet. But I will be trying it soon! My husband is not a wine or champagne drinker and I'd hate to open an entire bottle of champagne for myself (that would be bad!). So, the next time I go to a gathering or host one myself we will be having this champagne.
