Ideal™ No Calorie Sweetener Giveaway - CLOSED

I have never tried any kind of sugar substitute. Not that it doesn't interest me, I've just never tried it. Plain old sugar works just fine for me.

Ideal™ No Calorie Sweetener measures the same as sugar in your regular recipes and is great if you're looking to cut sugar or calories from your diet. Ideal™ is good substitute for pregnant women, diabetics and those who are hyperglycemic.

Ideal™ contains xylitol, which is a natural sweetener that is found in fruits and vegetables. It is FDA approved and has been used in foods worldwide for over 40 years. Xylitol does not have an aftertaste (like artificial sweeteners) and can actually reduce your risk tooth decay! How sweet is that?

I tried two different recipes using
Ideal™ No Calorie Sweetener. The first recipe I used was a brownie (yep, brownies!) recipe on the back of the Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate box. I've made this recipe before and the brownies turned out fine. This time for whatever reason my batter had a gritty texture to it and they didn't rise up at all when they baked. They were really dense. The amount of sweetness was good but the texture of the brownies was different than they normally are.

And just tonight I made some
chocolate chip muffins for my hubby's breakfast. I chose a recipe online (I'd never made them before) and substituted the white sugar with Ideal™ No Calorie Sweetener. The muffins turned out fabulous! They really reminded me of the chocolate chip bar cookies...a little bit of a crunchy texture on the top...soft, chocolate-y goodness in the middle.

Dennis and Ethan agreed that the muffins were pretty darn good. Didn't taste like I'd used anything but plain old sugar in them. No funky aftertaste...they just tasted like muffins.

Would you like to try
Ideal™ No Calorie Sweetener for yourself?

Three lucky Fairy Blog Mother readers will win a 50-count box of Ideal packets, a 10.6 ounce baking bag of Ideal.

xylitol is widely distributed throughout nature in small amounts. Some of the best sources are fruits and berries. For example, one cup of raspberries contains less than one gram of Xylitol. Xylitol is nature’s natural sweetener!

Ideal keeps its sweetness during baking and also provides volume and texture during the baking process. This makes Ideal different than other no calorie sweeteners.

Dogs digest foods differently than we do, so some foods are not safe for them to eat. Foods like chocolate, apples, peaches, raisins, grapes, avocados, baking soda and Xylitol are not safe for your pet. So, please don’t let them eat anything made with these foods. If your pet does accidentally eat something made with Xylitol, contact your veterinarian.
