You Have Successfully Unsubscribed! (You Asshole!)
Don't hate me for it.
Some of you may or may not have noticed that I've unsubscribed from your newsletter/email subscriptions.
It's not that I don't love you, it's not that I hate you...it's a little thing called RSS or Google Reader that is making my life a little easier at the moment.
My inbox was cluttered with newsletters, blog subscriptions and other various emails. Things were getting lost. I was frazzled and unorganized.
So don't be offended...I'm still reading. And you all know that I comment, like rarely...because damn it, I'm busy. I want to comment...I want to comment on everything. I ALWAYS have something to say. LOL
Do you even know how long it has taken me to unsubscribe from all of this stuff? Everytime I hit that button that said something like:
Are you sure you want to unsubscribe?
Are you really fucking doing this?
You suck! Fuck you for unsubscribing, may you forever be blessed with hemorrhoids!
I clicked yes.
Every. Single. Time.
Every. Single. Time.
Guilt, I tell ya. Lot's of it.
But I went from 1,000+ emails a day....yes ONE THOUSAND OR MORE emails a day and that is not including things that automatically go to my spam folder.
It was necessary I say! NECESSARY!

Wow, I could not sort through that much mail a day. I am overwhelmed enough with getting through my Google reader a few times a day. You should not feel bad for unsubscribing, especially if you are getting the information another way already.

Google reader definitely makes things easier! When I started reading blogs I subscribed and got them to my e mail. but with the reader I can read a whole bunch and scroll through and yes comment!!
I can totally empathize with that! I am feeling the same way.
I switched email addresses and have yet to unsubscribe from anything. I am dreading it. I still have other email address but wanted to go to google to make all this blog stuff easier to keep track of. I may finally go to straight google reader but then I have another whole batch to unsubscribe from. UGH!!
I am jumping on board and doing the same. My email account is out of control! I subscribed to all of them with my own personal email and not my blogger email. So, sometimes I go for a while without checking it. Evites and other important emails always get lost in the mix!
Thanks for making me smile! I recently went through a purge of all the e-mail I was getting. On some of them that were stores sending me 10 e-mails a week when they asked why I was unsubscribing I was very...forceful...in my answer. If you didn't send me so much crap I wouldn't be so pissed off! It's actually quite cathartic. Don't feel guilty feel empowered! Your life is no longer hindered by junk mail!
LOL. I started doing this today too. It's hard to read email when you have a thousand emails coming in. google Reader is much more easier.
LOL this blog post didn't go in the direction I thought it was going to. I'm grumpy today because people are subscribing for my current giveaway but unsubscribing before it is over (it doesnt end for 11 days).

Plus, if people put a guilt trip on you, it's their problem-It means there just insecure. Lol
And this is why I still recieve yours. I found it easier to mark down who I follow and who I can unfollow on what day after I entered a giveaway. I subscribe in rss too so I still get notices and its not that I love those blogs any less its just that I can't read like you 1000 emails a day and don't forget all the freeking Thanks alot for commenting emails ya get. I seriously just wrote a post on that the other day

Hey lady, don't sweat the small stuff -- we understand --- I can't keep track of the 250+ emails I get a day, I have no idea how you could possibly contend with 1000+ so you do what is best for you.
A thousand emails a day? Yikes, I can't imagine how you got through the days reading those! How long did that take you? Well at least now you can breathe a little easier with the Reader :) That's really useful for me too!
