Bitch & Moan 11/13 ...on 11/15

I'm late...because I really didn't have that bad of a week. On Friday as I was getting ready to head out for my girl's night out I was thinking I needed to get this post up...but I just didn't have anything.

So here I am on Sunday again. But I'm here.

I'm sick:

I've been sick for about a week now. I thought it was getting better but after a night in a smoky casino (nevermind the half a pack of menthol cigarettes I smoked) my throat is REALLY sore now. I know, partly my own fault...but it was fun.

My kid is sick:

He's been running a fever since Friday night. No other symptoms which is odd. Poor little dood is just miserable. Today was better but I think he wore himself out as he's asleep now.

Snow:

We have it. I hate it. This is my house around 2:30 PM yesterday afternoon. :(

Christmas:

I'm not ready. Haven't even started shopping yet. Don't want to. Is there anyway I can make my kids forget about Christmas this year? *sigh* It's mid-November and I'm such a Scrooge already.  Bah Humbug!

And because I don't want to do a whole other blog post (lazy!) I'm gonna tell you all the good things that happened this week.

First, the girl's night out trip...I won it.  From a local publication, City Weekly.  The trip included a ride on the fun bus there and back, free hotel room and free dinner.  BONUS:  You can drink on the bus!

I took my BFF with me.  My pregnant BFF.  She had a good time though.  We had crab legs and shrimp for dinner (she had prime rib too)....paid for with casino comps + $13 out of pocket.  (We saved our free meal coupons for breakfast...and she won back her $13 and then some.).  After dinner we go in to the casino.  I have a players card for this particular casino, they give me anywhere from $10-$25 a month on my card every month to play on special machines.  I picked one of the machines, a penny slot machine...and managed to turn my free $10 in comp dollars into $118.20.  This happened within the first 10 minutes.

Then we headed to the blackjack tables.  We were up and down for a while.  Then we went and watched the band and played video blackjack.  I played the same $20 on video blackjack for almost 2 hours.  My BFF was tired so I gave her my $118.20 ticket and told her to take it to the room for me, that I'd be up in a while.  I cashed out the $20 from the video blackjack machine and went back to the tables.

Then I sat there for 3 hours and played blackjack.  At one point I was up another $100 but ended up playing it down.  At 4 am (yikes!) I'd had enough....and I was $130 ahead for the trip.  Sweeeeeet!

So that was my Friday the 13th...unlucky?  I don't think so....

Oh...and I got a new job too.
