You Are Pissing Me Off - Part Two

Technorati: You still suck balls. Seriously. How hard is it to just leave my authority alone? How can the widget show 119 one second, then down to 58...then a 3? Come on now...get with the mother effing program.

Refrigerators: They suck balls too. Especially ones that decide to break down in the middle of the day without anyone knowing and force me to throw out 4 cartons of perfectly good ice cream. I hatechu!

Nail polish: Specifically nail polish that chips after only one day. I hate you too.

Facebook: I set up mobile alerts because hell, why not. But receiving a response to a comment or an alert 3 hours AFTER it's been posted (if I get an alert at all)? Not what I had in mind. As this has happened several times where the alert has gone to my phone oh, sometime after midnight...and yes, I have the option set up to NOT send alerts after a certain time. Please tell me I'm not the only one having this issue.

Email/newsletter unsubscribe options: Yes, I've chosen to not receive your newsletter anymore. It's not relevant to me. You DO NOT need to send me a confirmation email to confirm my unsubscribing and then send ANOTHER email letting me know that my unsubscribing has been successful and that "you'll miss me". *cough*bullshit*cough*

The cat litter box: Clean yourself for a change would ya? Or at least teach the damn cat to NOT shit over the edge and onto the floor. (We change it regularly, I swear...my cat is just lazy).

Laundry: Please wash, dry, fold and put yourself away. You make me miserable. I hate you with every fiber of my being.

Screaming toddlers who refuse to sleep in their own beds at night: I DON'T hate you...but please for the love of...will you PLEASE not sleep in my bed. At the very least, kick your Dad in the head or toddler-slap his ass out of a deep sleep for a change. He needs it sometimes...I won't even tell him that we made a deal. Yeah, we won't even go there...

Yes, I know...my PMS is showing.

I Went To The Movies On Tuesday

And we seen the movie "Orphan".

I was going to title the blog post Orphan Review (like I do all my movie reviews: movie title + review). But decided against it because I didn't want anyone to think at first glance that I was somehow reviewing parentless children. LOL

John and Kate (no, not THAT Jon & Kate)...A couple who recently lost a child decide to adopt a 9 year old girl. But Esther isn't your average 9 year old. She's overly polite, wears old fashioned style clothing and has a strange demeanor about her.

Strange things start happening and Kate starts trying to find out more info on Esther's background, where she came from, etc...only to reach some dead ends. All the while John thinks she's losing it, thinks that Esther couldn't possibly be responsible for any of the things going on...after all, she's only a child.

This movie wasn't scary. It was suspenseful and there were a few twists that I didn't see coming. It's not really gory but there are some bloody scenes. I'd let my 13-year old daughter watch it if she wanted to, but not my 7-year old.

All in all I'd give this movie three stars...a B+ rating.

I enjoyed it but I don't think my BFF liked it as much. She always manages to figure out what's going on/determine the ending about halfway through the film, then gets bored and doesn't enjoy it. LOL

Girl Talk Thursday - How Do You Unwind?

Honestly? Um...I don't. LOL

Usually unwinding involves me getting schnockered and sleeping it off. Which doesn't happen often. Still makes me sound like a raging alcoholic. LOL

What I do on a more regular basis to try and chill:

Talk with my BFF on the phone. Usually on the way to/from work. Yes, I drive and talk. I'm bad.

I go to the movies once a week (on average) with above mentioned BFF.

Stay up after everyone is in bed and watch stupid YouTube videos, play Yahtzee on my computer, catch up on blog reading, watch OnDemand movies (I watched La Bamba last week...it has been FOREVER since I've seen it!), chat with friends online.

I do most of my chillaxin' after the kids/hubby and dog are in bed. Me and my cat sit and stay up way past our bed time. (The cat is NOT the above mentioned BFF...though if I could take him to the movies with me I totally would.)

And yes, I realize most of my chill time involves my computer. I like my computer.

I'm Back!

And I need time to recuperate. We had an awesome time in Vegas...stories and pics to come at a later date. I accessed my email once while on vacation, seen I had over 750 emails and immediately shut my phone and decided to deal with it when I got home.

It's going to take me a day or two...or seven to get back into the swing of things. I may announce some winners later...or I may wait until the giveaway for tomorrow ends and then announce them all at the same time.

Barbar Flat Iron Giveaway - CLOSED

Proof. The Barbar Black Ceramic 1800 Cordless Flat Iron. This thing is cool...er...hot? It's awesome.

You can use this flat iron with or without the cord. The cord plugs into the charging base or directly into the bottom of the flat iron. It heats up in just a few minutes (it beeps at you!) and it just looks so much cooler than a jumble of cords on the counter.

I've used it several times since I received it and have gotten fabulous results every time. It really does make straightening my hair a lot easier and faster without the cord getting in the way all the time. And it makes my hair SHINY!

The charge lasts about five minutes then you just set it back on the base and it heats right back up. I flat ironed the bottom section of my hair, put my make up on (um...curled eyelashes and mascara only) and then finished the top section. I didn't have to keep going over sections to get them straight.

Super easy, super cool...I totally love this flat iron.

Yoplait Giveaway - CLOSED

Yoplait is typically the only yogurt I buy. My favorite is the Thick & Creamy version. It's a yummy custard style yogurt that is delicious and is great as a snack or paired with fruit or granola for a meal.

Girl Talk Thursday - Weird Quirks

Girl Talk Thursday (a little early)! Everyone is at BlogHer...I'm on my way to Vegas.

We all do quirky things. Don't we?

Like...when I eat a sandwich or a burger I eat all the way around the edge, leaving the center for last.

I pop my knuckles, neck and back ALL THE TIME.

When emptying the dishwasher I completely empty the bottom rack, then load what I can on the bottom before I move on to the top rack. It has to be done this way.

When I eat Starburst candies I save the red ones for last. I usually eat them in this order: yellow, orange, pink, red.

I hate touching lint. Dryer lint, pocket lint...belly button lint. Gaaaaah!

If I happen to have cash in my wallet or pocket is has to be in order by denomination and all facing the same way.

I talk to myself...a lot. It's how I remember things. If I say it out loud I'm less likely to forget.

Am I weirdo? LOL

Since I'm Not Going To BlogHer

I've decided to take a little weekend getaway. Just me and my hubby in one of the most fabulous places on earth. Three days of no kids, no cooking, no cleaning, no driving...

Where or where could we possibly be going?

This is our early anniversary gift to each other. We leave Thursday 7/23 sometime in the afternoon and will be back sometime Sunday evening.

We don't have an agenda, we're just gonna wing it and try to do as much as we can.

I haven't decided if I'm going to take my laptop or not. Last year when we went the hotel didn't offer free internet access and I'm not about to pay for it because I'll hardly be in the room to use it anyway.

So if I disappear for four days...just know I'm in Vegas.
If I'm gone longer than that...call to make sure I'm not in jail. (kidding!)
