Nickelback Concert Review 8/26/2009
Yep, I went to another concert last week.
This particular concert I've been wanting to go to since I heard about it a few months ago. We paid an arm and a leg and our first born to get the seats that we had. We were on the second row. And it was worth every penny. Every. Freakin'. Penny.
5:30 PM 8/26 @ Usana Ampitheatre
Saving Abel hits the stage. I'm not really familiar with them. I think I knew two of the songs [Addicted and Drowning (Face Down) ] they played. This is my second time seeing them. I seen them with Buckcherry, Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold back in January.

Next up was Papa Roach. And maaaaaan I was excited to see them! This was my third time seeing Papa Roach. They were at last year's Cruefest and at the above mentioned show with Saving Abel back in January.
Papa Roach put on such an amazing show. The only bad thing is they didn't play long enough. They played all their hits though: Lifeline, Forever, Scars, Last Resort, Getting Away With Murder and Hollywood Whore. I think that about made up their set. Like I mentioned above, they didn't play for very long. If the singer wasn't so short I'd marry him and bear his love child. *sigh*

But they really put on a great show and now I'm listening to that album again. :) Their most well known song is Lips of an Angel. Everybody and their dog knows that song. And the singer...OMG he's delicious.

Nickelback hit the stage, opened with the song Something In Your Mouth. I was screaming my head off. SCREAMING! I loooooove Nickelback. Looooove Chad Kroger. (This was my second time seeing Nickelback.)
They played all their radio hits: Someday, Rockstar, Burn It To The Ground, How You Remind Me, Photograph, Too Bad, Figured You Out, Gotta Be Somebody. I know there were more, but I'm just trying to list them all off the top of my head.
Chad Kroger (lead singer) really worked the crowd, shot beer into the crowd, passed a bottle of Patron around in the pit area. And he was doing this evil growling thing that made me want to rush the stage and tackle-hug him *ahem*.
Unfortunately, my camera was kind of drunk and a lot of my pictures didn't turn out. Yes, I'm totally blaming the camera for this one. (Most of the shots are of the screen behind them on the stage.)

All in all, it was a fabulous show. Worth every dime we paid to go. The show was over by 10:30 PM. Which is still a long time for a concert (5 hours). But I think the opening bands should have played a little longer. Even Chad Kroger said he'd never done a show where the sun was still out. Most shows at this venue let out around 11:30 PM.
I came home with a sore throat from screaming...even my ribs were sore, I assume from screaming. LOL
So. Much. Fun.
Oh...here's one of my "date" and I. I don't know what he's doing, so don't ask.

[I tried to link to the music videos on YouTube for most of the songs...but some of them aren't...deal with it. ;) ]
