Wet Ones Wipes Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

I have baby wipes stashed all over the place. In my car, downstairs in our tv room where Ethan plays, in his backpack for daycare, his bedroom, my bathroom, the kitchen. They're convenient and easy to use.

I was recently given the opportunity to try some Wet Ones Antibacterial Hands and Face Wipes. I received one canister (40 wipes) and three travel packs (15 wipes) plus some coupons to use or give away.

Wet Ones wipes kill 99.99% of germs are hypoallergenic and contain aloe.  They're not sticky, don't leave any residue behind and best of all...can be used on little hands and faces.  Baby wipes do they job, but they're not antibacterial.  And other brand antibacterial wipes are to be used only on surfaces, not on people.

The Wet Ones canister fits in standard cup holders in most vehicles.  So you can keep them nearby all the time.  And the travel packs can easily be tossed into a diaper bag, glove box or purse.

Wet Ones wipes come in three varieties:  Antibacterial and Big Ones (Big Ones are 50% bigger, both are available in Fresh or Citrus Scent).  And Sensitive Skin, which are alcohol and fragrance free.

I have two travel packs to give away to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.

You Have Successfully Unsubscribed! (You Asshole!)

Don't hate me for it.

Some of you may or may not have noticed that I've unsubscribed from your newsletter/email subscriptions.

It's not that I don't love you, it's not that I hate you...it's a little thing called RSS or Google Reader that is making my life a little easier at the moment.

My inbox was cluttered with newsletters, blog subscriptions and other various emails. Things were getting lost. I was frazzled and unorganized.

So don't be offended...I'm still reading. And you all know that I comment, like rarely...because damn it, I'm busy. I want to comment...I want to comment on everything. I ALWAYS have something to say. LOL

Do you even know how long it has taken me to unsubscribe from all of this stuff? Everytime I hit that button that said something like:

Are you sure you want to unsubscribe?
Are you really fucking doing this?
You suck! Fuck you for unsubscribing, may you forever be blessed with hemorrhoids!

I clicked yes.
Every. Single. Time.

Guilt, I tell ya. Lot's of it.

But I went from 1,000+ emails a day....yes ONE THOUSAND OR MORE emails a day and that is not including things that automatically go to my spam folder.

It was necessary I say!  NECESSARY!

zOrb Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

This thing is sooooooo cool!

I was sent a zOrb to review a few weeks back and we've had a lot of fun looking at things with it. A zOrb is digital microscope that plugs right into your computer's USB port.  It's compatible with PC's or Mac's, uses no batteries and magnifies 35x on a 14 inch monitor, 43 times on a 17 inch monitor and 53 times on a 21 inch monitor. You can capture screen shots of the things your looking at and even capture video.  The illuminator gives a clear view that you can focus on and your images are 640x480 resolution.

The zOrb is super simple to use and install. I popped the driver disc in my computer and it installed automatically on it's own. I plugged it in and it was ready to go. Simple!

The first thing I chose to look at was a dollar bill. As it shows on the packaging a close up image of money so I was curious to see for myself.

Upon first investigation I thought there was a blue ink mark on the money. I examined it and it's actually a tiny blue fiber that is barely even visible to the naked eye. I really had to go hunting for it to see it without this pocket microscope.

Next up was a penny. Not too exciting, but you can really see all the intricate lines.

Then just for fun I looked at my wedding ring.  You can see teeny tiny little dings and scratches in the ring that you can't even see otherwise.  You can see lint stuck to it....and you can see it desperately needs to be cleaned.  LOL

In the last pic you can see the inside of the ring that shows the karat weight and the store where the ring was purchased.

I know this will come in handy for future school projects for my kids. My son would have a wonderful time looking at bugs under it. I'm staying far, far away when he decides to do that.

I have one zOrb digital microscope to give away to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.

Eating Right With Looney Tunes

Thanks to Team Mom I was able to review some healthy and great tasting food items for my kids.

Eating Right is a new brand of healthier food options. There are over 250 items to choose from. Each item has a "Spot Your Needs" logo...or color coded dots. The colored spots easily help you identify foods that your family needs such as high fiber, low sodium, low fat and multigrain options. The spots help you locate nutritional information without having to read the labels.

I was sent a very cool insulated lunch bag with that included a fruit cup, a microwavable meal cup, a bottle of 100% apple juice and a chewy granola/chocolate bar.

I didn't have a chance to get a picture of all the items because Ethan tore into the lunch sack immediately. Within minutes he'd devoured the chewy bar and half the bottle of juice. And later on with his dinner he ate the fruit cup.

My 7-year old son ate the microwave meal. It was one of those microwavable cup/bowls that had macaroni and beef in it. He likes other brands of foods like this so it didn't really seem like anything special to him but I knew it was better for him than some of the other brands.

The lunch bag...well, Ethan hasn't given it back. He totes things around in it. So not only were the food items very well liked by my kids...but the bag was a hit, too!

Much thanks to Team Mom for this review opportunity.

Sunday Stealing 9/27

I was late for the last meme. My own meme nonetheless. But I'm a little bit early getting this one posted. Go me!

It’s not really fall in until...
To me there are really only two seasons.  Flip flop season and non-flip flop season.  The latter being when there is snow on the ground.

What did you need to do in the waning days of summer for it to feel complete?
I must be boring as nothing significant comes to mind.

A person I know was wrong for me but about whom I frequently thought after a break-up was...
OMG do I even want to go here?  I won't name names but it was a boy that I met in junior high.  Yes, I know that is vague...even my Mom may not be able to narrow it down.  But I thought about him for a long time.  I still think of him once in a while but now that I'm older (ahem, like 16 years older) I now think...."Ugh, he was such a good Mormon boy...so not my type."

If you could only attend one major sporting event what would it be?
Ok, in my last meme I totally bitched about football and NASCAR.  I think it'd be pretty cool to go to the Super Bowl.  And a big NASCAR race...but, I admit I'd be looking for Ricky Bobby so I could go bump knuckles with him and yell "Shake N Bake!"

Or one of the big boxing matches in Vegas.  Now, that would be fun!

(yeah, yeah I know it said ONE major sporting event....if I was guaranteed a Ricky Bobby meet-and-greet it would be the NASCAR.  There, happy now?)

Assuming that you write an anonymous or partially anonymous blog, by what non-physically identifying characteristics might you be identified in a bar?
Um, my potty mouth?  The girl that would be spewing vulgarities, dirty jokes and swear words...that would be me.

Most blogs cover some sort of niche – personal, political, dating, culinary, etc. What topic, if any, would you like to address on your blog but doesn’t fit into your niche?
Smar-assed-ness.  And yes, I just totally made that word up.  I don't do politics, religion, dating...

If you could manipulate the time space continuum and give as many as three pieces of advice to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give and to what age of you?
1- Learn to manage money, save money and spend wisely.
2- Your parents really do know what they're talking about.  Trust them.
3- Don't swoon over the above mentioned Mormon boy.

Who among your friends do you really wish had a blog because their stories, or perspective on something ought to be shared?
My BFF Megan.  She makes me laugh.  She is crazy.  We could have twin blogs.

If you were to take an e-cation (vacation from the trappings of our electronic world,) and assuming that employment obligations would allow it, how long of a break could you take? What would you miss the most, the least?
Current day:  I'd miss Facebook the most.  Yes, I'm that lame.  But I looooove Farmville, Mobsters 2, Farkle and Mafia Wars.  The least?  Email.  They're so time consuming.

On September 11th of this year, I attended a couple of parties and was somewhat conflicted by the fact that this ignoble anniversary shall pass with it being just another day in the eyes of many (and in some ways my own eyes as well.) Thoughts?
It's never just been another day to me.  I wrote up a special blog post on that day.  It's just a very memorable day for many and is not something that I can easily not think about.  I watched the news footage that played over again.  Read the stories online.  It's not something I take lightly.

How high are your walls? Who was the last person to scale them? What tools should would-be climbers have on their belt?
It depends on who you are.  If you've fucked me over and managed to not be jettisoned from my list of friends for whatever reason...that wall is high.  Very high.  I don't trust you, never will...but I can be civil to you.

Last person to scale them?  I don't know...honestly, I don't.  I don't just let anyone in.  And some may argue "well you have a public blog that you update regularly".  True, can't argue that.  But this blog is only a glimpse of things that go on in my life.  I don't blog every minute detail of my life.

Tools for would-be-climbers?  Trust is something that is earned.

The sexiest thing a man or a woman can say to you (or has said to you) is:
Your daddy must have been a baker, because you've got a nice set of buns.

Bitch & Moan 9/25...on 9/26

Fairy Blog Mother

Once again, I'm late. Fashionably late, of course. Busy days, sickness and stress have kept me away from the blog as much. I know, excuses, excuses.

So for my loyal (all 2 of them) bitch and moaners...it's that time of week again. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in the bitchfest. This one is gonna be a doozy.

Link up your bitch and moan post on the linky and grab the button from my sidebar.

What pissed me off this week?

My car:
There is a light on the dashboard that shows when one of the tires is low on air. I've taken the car in to have the tires checked...no leaks. We check the air in the tires all the damn time. That light won't go off. It's not a big deal really, but it IRRITATES THE PISS OUT OF ME. I mean, how would I know if I really had a flat (or going flat) tire cuz that fucking light is always on?!

Mobsters 2 and Mafia Wars on Facebook:

I cannot stand when I run out of energy or stamina or health. I want to keep playing and doing missions and fighting others. Damn it!

Football and NASCAR and my husband (oh my!):
It's always on. At least it seems that way. And I REALLY hate it. My husband will watch any team, any game, any time. If he just had a favorite team and watched once in a while I could deal with it, but it's just not that way. And when it's not football it's NASCAR. WHAT IS SO FUCKING EXCITING ABOUT CARS DRIVING AROUND IN CIRCLES OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER...ok, you get the idea.

Spiders:
They're making their way indoors this time of year. And even though some of them are smaller than a pencil eraser I will totally exaggerate their size (as big as my hand, as big as my head)...and all spiders are hairy. I don't care if they're really not hairy. Maybe they're just not VISIBLY hairy. Oh...and Ethan calls spiders "butters". So he's in the backyard yelling "Dad-deeee! Butters!"

For the record...butter, like the kind you put on bread, is "butter" and peanut butter is also called "butter". So we never know what the hell he is talking about.

Seasonal Allergies:

Yes, I am going to bitch about allergies. Allergies that I have medication for but I'm just not a pill taking kind of person. So yes, it's partly my own fault for suffering from allergies. I hate this time of year.

Toddlers that scream like banshees while in public...oh wait, that's my kid:
Ethan, Ethan, Ethan. Dear boy, you will surely be the death of me. Though I must admit it was funny when you bolted down the aisle screaming "BEER!" because you recognized an advertisement banner hanging from the ceiling at the store.

My cell phone:
It has a mind of it's own lately. It just powers down for no reason. I still love the phone, but it's very quickly moving to "like" status.

I need to stop. I'm not even bitching and moaning anymore. I'm just playing the part of "whiny little bitch" really well. Gawd, I'm annoying.

Any other whiny little bitches out there this week?

Random Funnies

I received these in an email from Lori.

Some of them are too good not to share. Thanks for sharing with me Lori!

Random Thoughts

-I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

-More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

-Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

-I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

-That's enough, Nickelback. (I don't get this one? *ponders*)

-I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. YES!

-Is it just me, or are 80% of the people in the "people you may know" feature on Facebook people that I do know, but I deliberately choose not to be friends with?

-There is a great need for sarcasm font.

-Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the f was going on when I first saw it.

-I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.

-How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

-I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

- I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

-The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

- A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.

- Was learning cursive really necessary?

- Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

- I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

- Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron test is absolutely petrifying.

- Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

- How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

- I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a d!ck from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

- Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in' examples, I will undoubtedly draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot. Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an attorney and said "Yes that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies"

-What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?

- While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.

- MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

- Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

- I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.

-Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

- I would like to officially coin the phrase 'catching the swine flu' to be used as a way to make fun of a friend for hooking up with an overweight woman. Example: "Dave caught the swine flu last night."  (ouch!)

-I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

- Bad decisions make good stories.  Sooooo true!

-Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!

- Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier and sluttier every year?  Yes, they do. :(

-If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.

-Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a problem....

-You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

-Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.

-There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

-I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

- "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.

-I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren't watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'

-I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Dammit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

- I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

-When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some light internet stalking.

-I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

-Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

- As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

-Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

-It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

-I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.  Yep!

-Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

-Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

-My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

-It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.

-I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.

-I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

-I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

-The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw they had included four sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone at the restaurant packed my order, took a second to think about it, and then estimated that there must be at least four people eating to require such a large amount of food. Too bad I was eating by myself. There's nothing like being made to feel like a fat bastard before dinner.

This publication has not been prepared, approved, or licensed by any entity that created or produced the Twilight series of books or movies.

This book was interesting to read. As it's not really something you just sit down and read. But if you read Twilight and follow along with this workbook then you can learn more than 600 vocabulary words that could help you improve your score on the SAT, ACT, GED and SSAT exams.

Each chapter of the workbook gives you eight words taken from Twilight, with page references for you to read the words in the context of your favorite novel.

Define the words on your own before turning back to the workbook for their actual meanings.

Plus, you'll learn synonyms, word parts, and memorization tools throughout the workbook.

Regardless of it's intention to aid in studying it was just kind of fun to follow along and do the exercises in the workbook.

I have one copy of Defining Twilight to give to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.

Sunday Stealing 9/20

Sunday Stealing: One Long Meme (Part Two)
(a continuation from last week's Sunday Stealing)

27. Do you prefer to sleep or eat? SLEEP!

28. Do you look like your mom or dad? I think I look more like my Dad, my sister looks more like my Mom.

29. How long does it take you in the shower? How long does it take me to what in the shower? LOL...generally speaking, 10-15 minutes.

30. Can you do the splits? Um no. And it would be bad, really bad, if I tried.

31. What movie do you want to see right now? I want to see New Moon. But I will not be going to the theater to see it anytime within the first month of its release.

32. What did you do for New Year’s? Um...what did I do? I don't even remember. It must have been really exciting.

33. Do you think The Grudge was scary? I FUCKING HATE THAT MOVIE. So weird this got brought up, my daughter just borrowed it from her friend yesterday and I told her I didn't want to watch it.

34. Do you own a camera phone? Yep...this one. Love, love, love the phone...hate, hate, hate the camera on it.

35. Was your mom a cheerleader? Um...no. If she was, she's never told me about it. (funny you bring up my Mom...I owe her a shout out. Everyone say hi to my Mom!)

36. What’s the last letter of your middle name? E

37. How many hours of sleep do you get a night? Between 4 and 6 on average. Not enough.

38. Do you like Care Bears? I used to when I was a kid, now I don't give a shit.

39. What do you buy at the movies? Popcorn with butter, extra butter and a large Diet Coke...the Diet Coke cancels out the butter.

40. Do you know how to play poker? Not really. I know the basics, what hands are winning hands, etc.

41. Do you wear your seat belt? Always.

42. What do you wear to sleep? Go-go boots, a tutu and pasties.

43. Anything big ever happen in your hometown? 2002 Winter Olympics?

44. How many meals do you eat a day? Usually only 2...I have breakfast or lunch, rarely do I have both.

45. Is your tongue pierced? No, but I think I'd like to do it. But probably won't.

46. Do you always read MySpace bulletins? No. I cannot remember the last time I logged into MySpace.

47. Do you like funny or serious people better? Funny. Serious people are boring...they scare me.

48. Ever been to L.A.? Nope. If I did I'd totally stalk celebrities and end up in jail.

49. Did you eat a cookie today? No...though I've been meaning to start.

50. Do you use cuss words in other languages? No. I only speak English....we'll save this rant for another day.

51. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads? I pay for them. Thank you Rhapsody.

52. Do you hate chocolate? I hate it like a fat kid hates cake.

53. What do you and your parents fight about the most? I don't fight with my parents anymore. When I was younger it was because I was a liar. With my pants on fire. On a telephone wire.

54. Are you a gullible person? If you're a good liar I am. If you're a bullshitter...then not so much.

55. Do you need a girlfriend to be happy? I don't know, I've never had a girlfriend. Maybe I should look into this.

56. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what what would it be? A writer, duh.

57. Are you easy to get along with? I'd like to think I am. But some may disagree.

58. What is your favorite time of day? Nap time. Bed time. Beer thirty.

FreshDeals.com Review

What a cool website.

Freshdeals.com is a shopping website that allows its users to find and share the best deals online, compare prices and ask/answer questions about products.

Right on the home page they have a widget that shows the "freshest deal". These deals have a timer on them showing how long you can get the featured item at that price.

You can also search for products by category: furniture, health and beauty items, clothing, electronics, kids items.

You can ask questions like 'what is the best point and shoot camera available?' or even what kind of energy drink or Chuck Taylor shoes people prefer and get answers from users on the website on what they're opinion is. You just sign in with your Facebook log in to access the Q&A section.

Clicking on the deals tab takes you to a listing of the most recently added items.

The easy sharing option allows you to email or post to Twitter or Facebook about the deals you find.

To give an example:

I searched under
video games for The Beatles Rock Band, I hit the compare prices button and it pulled up results for 10 different retailers and what price they're selling the game for. Plus any questions/answers about the product are right on the page. When I clicked on the 'share this' link and clicked on Twitter it opened a new window directly on the Twitter website and had a tweet already set up for me to send. (Check out this Fresh Deal at FreshDeals.com! http://freshdeals.com/catalog/the-beatles-rock-band--1075240656.html) I only needed to hit send to pass this deal on to others.

Freshdeals.com is easy to navigate as it's broken down into categories or you can use the search option to find what you're looking for...and get the best deal on it.

Bitch & Moan 9/18

I suck.

I don't post anything since Monday then I come in to do some bitching and moaning.

Grab the button and link up your bitch and moan blog post.

Fairy Blog Mother

What pissed me off this week?

Kanye West
Um...could you be a bigger douchebag? Seriously?
(if you don't know what this is about you need to come out of the cave that you live in)

TMJ
I haz it. I bitched about it last week and I'm bitching about it this week, too. That is why I've bee MIA. My head/face/neck/shoulders hurt and I've just not felt like blogging.

Farkle (on Facebook)
Why did I ever start playing this game? Not only is it addictive, but it pisses me the fuck off. And it drives me bat shit crazy that my BFF, Megan, has like this uber awesome score and I have a wimpy, lame score. I cursed her computer with a virus so she can't play anymore.

Dogs
I'm just not a fan. I have a dog of my own and I'm dog sitting for my ex-husband because I'm nice like that yo. His dog wants to eat my cat which in turn makes my own dog turn on the cat. The cat hisses like he's a badass mofo but I know those two mutts would eat him alive and then go laugh about it as they're shitting on my patio.

Potty Training
It's just not the cool happenin' thing at my house. Ethan is perfectly content in a "bebe dyder" (baby diaper).

My Husband
He just called to tell me that he was on his way home. And that he was eating turkey nuts. He texted this to me earlier and I assumed it was something specialty nut or something...as he was at the bar, having a few beers. I was thinking something like peanuts on the counter...with a funny name...like turkey nuts.
No. He was eating turkey NUTS. BALLS. TESTICLES.

If he comes home and tries to kiss me after having nuts in his mouth I'm gonna kick him in his nuts.

So, what pissed you off this week?

Timex Wireless Fitness Tracker Giveaway - CLOSED

About a year ago I got this wild hair to start going to the gym on a regular basis. I started doing riding the stationary bikes and walking the track. Then I decided I should run. And then I decided that I really like running despite the pain in my legs, shin splints and the major pain that it is trying to count your laps as you go around and around and around the track.

Not only could I never keep track of how many laps I did. But I was horrible about pacing myself and timing myself.

Fast forward to today...I haven't been to the gym but 10 times in the last 5 months. Knee pain that required physical therapy put me out for a while. And it's still keeping me down.

But...I did go to the gym a few times to try out this snazzy new watch that the lovely folks over at Timex sent me.

The IRONMAN Triathlon Sleek Fitness Tracker is a watch with a wireless transmitter that hooks to your waist/belt to measure calories burned, distance, steps, pace. It's water resistant up to 50 meters and has a night mode and indiglo features. It has a 50-lap memory chronograph, pedometer, timers, three alarms, two time zones and dated training logs.

I admit, I was a little intimidated by all the functions on this watch. And I was even confused and had a little trouble figuring it out (still working on that). But I was able to get the gist of the first go-round and it showed me how many calories I'd burned on my half run/half walk on the track. It showed the pace I was going at and I was easily able to keep that pace.

All in all it's a pretty cool little gadget that I know will come in handy for me once I get back into regular gym mode and figure out which features work best for the kind of work outs I'm doing. (Stupid knee injury).

I have one of the bad boys to give away to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.

To enter this giveaway:
Visit the Timex website and tell me another watch you'd like to have
